Biennale photo de Brighton 2008
La Biennale photo de Brighton qui se déroule jusqu’au 16 novembre a pour thème la photographie de guerre. Intitulée “Memory of Fire” la guerre des images et des images de guerre, elle est l’occasion pour le visiteur d’expérimenter une large gamme d’images et de réfléchir de manière critique sur les différents aspects de la guerre. 10 expositions présentent la production, l’emploi et la circulation des images en temps de guerre :

- Designs for Solidarity (Photographies et affiches politiques cubaines 1965-1975)
- Iraq Through the Lens of Vietnam
- Photographing the First World War (Frank Hurley)
- Photography & Revolution: Memory Trails Through the Latin American Left
- The Incommensurable Banner (Thomas Hirschhorn)
- The Sublime Image of Destruction (Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin, Simon Norfolk and Paul Seawright)
- Unveiled: Voices of Women in Afghanistan (Harriet Logan)
- War Memorial (Julian Germain)
- Why, Mister, Why? and Baghdad Calling (Geert Van Kesteren)
